Why #strategic and #operational #marketing advice are equals?
Many #companies I consult have the mindset that strategic marketing is essential, and they discontinue or devalue the operational advice.
Usually, it goes like this:
I create a #strategy for them, a go-to-market strategy, and I include after we have the big #vision established for them, a #plan with actions to make this plan happen.
Some of them are uncomfortable; others are comfortable.
I usually hear that the strategic #leader is not responsible for making the action plan?
What, excuse me?
If I help you set a strategy, I want to help you operate it as well?
I mean, look at Andrei Zinkevich. They provide playbooks to their #clients so they can execute.
If your marketing #strategist cannot provide an operational #guideline, probably you should find someone else.
Strategy and operations are equal. You cannot operate correctly if you don't have a strategy.
You don't operate - you die!
