Why I think iOS 15 will help with demand generation!
iOS 14 and 15’s main job is to give more power to the user. You can control what ads you will see and limit ad campaigns’ tracking ability.
AND in some way, they are right to do so!
Because what a typical B2B company thinks is: ‘Hey, let’s push people to a pdf and have those lead ads on Facebook, let’s pay three dollars per lead ad and ask Sales follow up with them until death takes us apart.
Poor, Sales department, of course, those leads are not of good quality. Those leads hate cold calling out of the blue; they are not ready to buy!
BUT
What happens now ->
Facebook advertising will become less efficient, cold email spamming will become less efficient, and people will have to embrace the Dark Social’s majesty.
Dark Social - a place where nobody can track anything with bit.ly or Google Analytics, where relationships matter, where the story matters, and you cannot get by with shady or paid tactics.
It’s the time to rise and shine because those who focus on demand generation and cultivating relationships will prevail!
Although iOS 14 has gotten a lot of bad rap lately, the changes which empower us as users and compel us to build more sustainable practices are for the better good.
