Who do you serve?
As a company! As an individual! As a parent!
In ancient times, Romans would salute each other by saying “Servus” meaning “ I serve you”.
Now, a bit more business context in here:
Together with David Kelly, we were discussing business #positioning.
He mentioned a friend of his who developed a sunscreen specifically for surfers.
He wanted to serve just surfers so when people ask him about it he would not be embarrassed
saying “It’s for everyone”.
The same goes for Sendfox.
It was planned as an email product for small creators with an audience of 1000-3000 people
and that was their target audience.
There are others who used it but Sumo Group did not cater to them.
Here’s my question to the reader:
Who is your ICP? Whom do you serve?
