When people say "it's not us who decides, it's data who does" or when they say "data-driven strategies" what do they actually mean?
Overall it sounds a bit BS, don't you think?
Since I cannot speak for others I will tell you what I mean by that.
For me data is not only limited to:
Databases in SQL
Graphs in Google Analytics
Cohort analysis
Working with spreadsheets
Any kind of analysis which means judging based on numbers
BUT it is also, even MORE about:
Quality research, such as talking to people figuring out their pain in order to deliver a killer landing page or feature
Fixing the messaging on our website and emails so people understand us better
Meeting influencers in my field on a podcast and discuss solutions to a common issue
The latter is also #data to me.
How about you my LinkedIn friend, what is data for you?
