What are some basic #foundational #questions to ask when hiring a #growth #marketer?
Here are some questions, suggestions, and resources to help you evaluate your #potential #candidates
First, before hiring a #marketer, you should have a definite scope for that person. A clear understanding of what that person will do and the stack you want that person to have.
For example, it would be better if the #hiring #person had experience in the industry you activate.
It is essential because they might not have experience in the core channels which bring you traffic/money and will have to learn those. The learning curve can be steep.
#Questions to ask:
- What industries have you worked in? DTC, Ecommerce, B2B, SaaS?
- What channels do you have experience in?
- Please provide an example of 2 experiments you have run (they can be unsuccessful) and what you have u learned?
- Describe the responsibilities you had in other teams
- What do you feel uncomfortable doing?
