There's more to sales than just content and emails! I found out the hard way, but trust me, it's worth it.
This past week, I went to the Philippines to see some potential clients. And while I am a huge fan of digital marketing, it shouldn't be your sole strategy for success. 👉🏽 You must fill in the information gaps and go directly to your clients.
During my trip, I got to hang out with industry experts, and guess what? I made some good friends, we traveled within the Philippines, and I learned a lot about the gaps in the market—information I couldn't have found online 💡.
There is a big need for personalized products, and people have been asking for core features for a while. Instead of the products adapting to them, they have to fit the product. Not cool, right? 😬
In this market, everyone is racing to offer the cheapest deal. But here's the paradox: with a low price, companies can't afford to adapt their products. Why? They can't hire enough devs to make it happen. So, what we end up with is a lose-lose. All because you got stuck in a price trap, and that's not a fun place to be, especially for your brand. 🙅🏽
I also got some key feedback on tech issues they're facing. Like, a software that kept crashing on Android so much that they had to switch the entire team to Apple. Ouch! 💸
So here's the deal: Online is great, but you will never know your market fully unless you go and do the fieldwork. Get out there, grab a coffee with your clients, and let the magic happen. You'll thank me later.
Here is a picture of me in the Philippines, a beautiful country! ☀️
