You may wonder what is it?
Most marketing departments are crippled because they lack an essential function, the JBTD of integration between 🔊 marketing and 💰 sales.
Because sales are driven chiefly by the commission, they need more leads and get used to the many leads you have to provide them as a marketer.
And that is why you need a position in the company that will leverage the process of creating better quality demand and a smaller amount of prospects.
I call this position - 💥 An Outbound Marketer 💥 .
What would this person do?
Recently, I was asked by a friend if I could describe what would an outbound marketer do. Here are some of my thoughts on it:
It should be a person who loves communication 📢 . The primary role would be to drive events 🤝 and sales enablement tactics 💲 and leverage the gap between sales knowledge and marketing execution.
Since most of the b2b growth in my experience comes from SME collaborations, growing a community with involvement from industry subject matter experts would be the second goal I would pursue with this.
In the past, I have seen an SDR successfully transitioning into this role.
That could be a potential career path for Sales Development Reps, outgoing marketers, Sales People who want to be more strategic 💣 .
