Let's talk about the #bullshit #leadgen #agencies tell you: "We'll book calls for you."
Great. But that's just the first fudging step in a long process. Here's what they don't tell you:
30-40% of those booked calls will be no-shows. That's just reality for enterprise sales.
Of those who show up, half will give you some version of "not now" or "come back later."
Another 30-40% will ghost you after a few calls. They entered the dreaded "no decision" zone.
When an agency promises "X meetings per month," remember that's NOT the same as "X opportunities" or "X deals." Not even close.
If your sales cycle is 4+ months (like most tech/SaaS companies), you need way more than just initial meetings. You need a system for following up, nurturing, and staying top-of-mind during those months of decision-making.
Don't get suckered by agencies that act like booking the initial call is the hard part. The real work starts after that first meeting.
