Is anyone else tired of all these posts: I made 10 million in a week with ten dollars in my pocket, and this is how. 💰 - let me call out this shit.
It just doesn't work that way. Here are some pieces of advice I can give out after working for many years in the SaaS business 💼.
💻 There was this set belief that the next step of a coder's career is a SaaS business. Although coding is an essential feature for understanding the bases of your business and will be a fundamental advantage, it is not a prerequisite. Many areas will require special attention, and sadly, that won't be coding.
💡 The crucial area that entrepreneurs fails the most is idea validation and getting things off the ground. An idea will only stay a dream if you do not disassociate from your emotions. Ideas are made to be rebuilt, erased, and build upon, so have a biased perspective when you pivot your project toward your customer needs.
🔉Be compelling when creating your business; when you're looking to find the right people to target and invest in you, you must sell yourself before the product, and you must understand them first. Your customer-facing message should be accurate, and your service should promote the wow factor immediately.
❓ Ask yourself: Does your idea generate money or only interest? Chances are, many times, our idea generates interest, but customers are not willing to take the risk. This is when you should reevaluate your value proposition and remember that failure should be translated into a driving motivator.
📚 Remember, an idea is just a dream without feedback. These days I am validating an idea. It's not even a business yet, just a toy for now that I am playing around with. Because at this stage, when I am doing some validation interviews, it is just a fancy idea that does not let you sleep at night at max. My personal goal is to get to at least 50 interviews.
What am I chasing? Sales! No! Incorrect! I am looking to fail and learn. The more I can learn, the better I will be for the product we'll build.
P.S. If you are familiar with programmatic SEO, drop me a line. Smiles are on me :)
