If you want to grow your organic content but want to save money on it, this post is for you!
SEO can be very expensive, but it shouldn't have to be. Here's how to do SEO on a budget:
🔍 Keyword research is the most crucial step in SEO. Start by targeting keywords with lower keyword difficulty to rank higher. Some excellent tools I use are Google Keyword Planner and Answer the Public.
🎯 Analyze your competitor's SEO strategy and internal link structure. My favorite tool is Ahrefs, where you can find all the keywords your competitor ranks for.
📚 Create content, silos, meaning group your website content around keyword-optimized articles. Create many articles around the same topic and group them—this helps you build authority around a topic, and users will have a hub of helpful information.
🤵🏼♀️ If you are in B2B, a simple Google Top 10 research will not make it, and you have to add some meat to the bone. Start by interviewing subject matter experts on the topics you are writing about. Internal first and then add expertise from the outside.
✏️ Focus on your content structure. Don't copy your competition but rather improve their articles by giving more useful information that makes it easier to read and catches a reader's attention.
📊 Track your articles! If you have created valuable content, then continue with the content silos. Check out Google Search Console, see the keywords ranking from the 15 to the 30 and start targeting by adding them to your articles.
🔗 And one pro tip is that around 10-15% of Google's organic traffic is new searches, and you can create keywords from thin air. You just have to research your customers better.
