If there is one lesson that the pandemic has shown is that humans enjoy geographic freedom 🌎.
I recently came across this graph, which led me to think of the fast modernization and change of approach toward our work environment.
Many challenges of online work have been put in the spotlight, such as productivity 🚀, time management ⏳, and communication 📢.
However, the power of online work has changed our approach toward work-life balance. Now, the opportunity for a flexible work environment has benefits both employers and employees.
But most importantly, it gives them the power to employers to define their own work environment, increasing their sense of individuality 🏡.
Thinking of this past year in the HR industry, we saw trends such as great resignation and quiet quitting, which shows a lack of employee recognition.
Hybrid and fully remote work environments present the opportunity to combat burnout and lack of recognition by allowing employees to set their own pace and work environment 🏃🏻♀️.
At the end of the day, this is just the opinion of a digital nomad, and I will tell you this. Living in locations like Tenerife and Bali is excellent, but it becomes too relaxing if you do not have a business community in that place.
Yes, colder climates do motivate you to work 😉
