I think the empire aka Google will strike back in 2025, they have a ton of XP in search, we shall see.
But it can be that we will find meanwhile, the AI features and AI will mature, and ChatGPT will mature as well.
We will see different use cases, so for some use cases people will go to Google, and for other use cases they will go to ChatGPT. We will have a differentiation here, which will be much clearer.
As a digital strategist, I see this evolution as an exciting phase in the interplay between search engines and conversational AI. Algorithms are at the heart of this differentiation, shaping how user intent is interpreted and results are delivered.
Interestingly, a recent study by Statista found that 71% of users now expect AI-driven platforms to provide highly personalized responses. This aligns with the idea that while Google will continue to dominate in intent-based searches leveraging its algorithmic expertise, platforms like ChatGPT will carve their niche in conversational, context-rich interactions. The future isn't about one replacing the other but about how these tools complement each other to meet diverse user needs.
