I keep noticing a trend in all #pharma events: They are all well-organized and professional, but they are seriously boring! 🙄
Once, at an event, I overheard someone complaining about having to fake interest, saying it was actually a waste of time. However, when the conference feedback forms were passed, none of that feedback was even mentioned.
Do you know what happened the following year? Most of the attendees skipped the event.
My take on business pharma events is that they lack innovation. The industry is quite conservative, so the events are traditional and lack any spark ✨ .
You have the same old, same old all the time 😫 .
This year, however, the NextPharma event caught me by surprise. Yes, there were a few hiccups, but they really focused on showcasing innovative ideas. They had a game room, offered 360 photos, and genuinely put in effort to engage the participants.
What I am leading to is this:
Events don't have to be boring. More engagement creates more results and more sponsors 🤝 .
Engagement = More sponsors 💸
