I had the pleasure of attending the SaaStr conference in London 🇬🇧 , where Elizabeth Ionita, the Head of Growth Lead of LuckBoosters, discussed the challenges and the opportunities in Marketing-Sales alignment 🤝.
💡 I'd like to share some of the wisdom from her presentation:
🎯 Defining Marketing Culture Alignment: Executives and teams should be aligned into each team's different roles. How we define success is key and needs consistent reevaluation.
🔗 Creating one team: Marketing should consult sales on content creation, its target audience, and presentation. The teams should communicate strategies, execute plans, upskill each other, and collaborate on mapping the customer journey.
🤝 Brand and Demand are a Team Sport: Personal and company brand building is a group effort. Creating valuable and genuine connections with your customer is what brings knowledge and insights to leverage your brand.
📣 Promoting Openness and Communication: We must understand how Marketing & Sales connect, communicate, and collaborate. Identifying what's NOT being said help us bridge these communication gaps.
🌱 Nurturing, Managing, and Boosting Marketing and Sales alignment: Progress tracking, celebrating wins, and learning from losses helps to foster a culture of empathy and mutual respect between teams.
