Determination beats any toolset you're born with. 👊
I used to be super shy as a kid. People often said my brother would excel while I'd struggle. They weren't entirely wrong, but here's the thing: I’ve learned you can absolutely overcome shyness and any other problems or defect you're born with. You just need determination and perseverance.
It's not about how naturally talented or equipped you are. I spoke one language when I was born. Now, I speak fluently 5 and closing on my 6ths.
Hello Italiano!
It's about building yourself up through challenges. If you’ve got the determination to push through obstacles, you can redefine what success means to you.
I moved to Hungary with a worn red bag full of my clothes, that was all I have.
Here's what I did to shed that shyness and boost my confidence:
- Took small steps outside my comfort zone
- Practiced speaking up even when scared (Big nod to Toastmasters International)
- Made mistakes and learned from them
Start small, be consistent, and you'll notice a shift. It's not about being the most outgoing person in the room—it's about growing into the version of yourself that you've always wanted to be.
Remember, success is personal. It’s not defined by what others expect; it’s what you set for yourself. Believe in your journey and keep pushing forward.
Keep going! 🚀

Experience and resourcesfulness are also major keys to overcoming shyness. Once you know that you can excel at soemthing and find ways to overcome challenges, you feel more confident to step out of your comfort zone and take part in new experiences.
