As an entrepreneur, you need to be able to speak confidently about your work and be able to convince stakeholders to take a risk. But what if you need help with what to say? What if you want to avoid committing to an answer? How can you manage this conversation without getting caught off-guard by a question outside your expertise? There are five strategies that I've found helpful in managing conversations: 🔈 Prepare: Make sure you have prepared the right questions and answers before the meeting starts. Make sure you understand your stakeholders' needs before taking on a project. If you lack some knowledge, bring someone reputable to fill in the gaps. Prevent any surprises from coming up during the discussion by being as clear and real as possible. 🔉 Leverage your contacts: Before you start selling your service, you have to sell yourself. Talk about your experience and how you have overcome your struggles. Talk about your results in your past projects to set up expectations of your character. 🔉 Build an environment: Make your stakeholders feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and concerns with you. Being an active listener is an important trait in a conversation. Asking open-ended questions is a good way of inciting thought before diving into the answer. 🔉 Tailor conversations: Get familiar with your stakeholders' goals and concerns. Understand their role in the project's success and address them personally throughout the meeting. 🔉 Set up meeting expectations and go over all the points you will cover. This signals a confident and informed approach. Once they understand what they will get out of the conversation, think about how to get there. If you're preparing a sales pitch, make sure your stakeholders leave the conversation with all the information needed for their decision-making process. Stakeholder conversations can be a minefield for SaaS entrepreneurs.  What are your tips for managing conversations with confidence? #entrepreneurs #conversation #salespitch #confidence #meetings
